Good Morning, My son is 28 he has been on dla since he was little, he has ASD,ADHD,short term memory, dyslexia and ocd,He had his tribunal today and it only lasted 15minutes,only asked a couple of questions,And then said he will hear in a letter.
My question is, why didnt they give him his decision on the phone?
Does that mean he will be refused ?
Thankyou for any advice, As his anxiety is threw the roof, And even his medication for adhd isnt helping him to calm down.
And i havent got the answers for him.
Thankyou again for any advice x

Hi only joined today first post I find that traumatic!  I’ve also suffered from mental health problems since the age of 15 now soon to be 66 and f8 ally get my state pension.  I too have been trying to get PIP for my problems but DWP don’t seem t9 want to recognise awarding it for mental health. I’ve found it particularly difficult since the worlds problems let’s hope it ends soon!

After nearly 50 years in construction I have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis.  For the past 30 years I have been a building manager, site manager and a project manager.  All active roles and ones that I can no longer do.  Hopefully, I can get some support from this group as to what to do next, before I lose everything I have worked for.

      Hi micks,
I'm sorry to hear about your Osteoarthritis diagnosis. It sounds like you've enjoyed a long career in construction and I can understand your concerns about the future. As this message was on your activity wall not many people will have seen it, so I've posted it on our Employments and Careers discussion category to make it more visible. You can visit this here: https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/79688/what-to-do-employment-wise-after-osteoarthritis-diagnosis/p1?new=1

I'm sure our community will be able to offer some support at this uncertain time and I have my fingers crossed for you and the future. Best wishes - Cher.

Mentioning someone in a discussion (do so by putting an @ before the user name) is a great way to encourage dialog and let them know who you’re talking to.

Hi, yes we all are different. The test is harmful as too why eye am not consenting too it. If you could find out from your daughter in regard too more information regarding exemption that would be great, and yes the covid test was the test eye was referring too.

We all have free will so if you chose to take the test and see nothing wrong that is entirely up too you. The swab what they use has the chemical ethernal oxide on it, and on the swab packaging state sterile eo. Check for yourself what damage that can do as well as nano technology etc, like eye mentioned what's harmful too me may be no harm to you. Eye perceive too see and know and not just trust and take what eye am told or directed too do, especially by this government. Have a great day ahead.

I think perhaps you mean ethylene oxide, which will be used to ensure the swab is sterile. I'm sorry but I don't share your concerns, & sorry you believe the Covid-19 test may be harmful to you. I'm afraid misinformation about ethylene oxide has spread on social media; the residue left after sterilisation is negligible & totally harmless.
Suggest you check here for the latest travel news, as my daughter says it changes at short notice: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice you can sign up for email alerts. Only certain jobs (relating to air travel, etc) are exempt from a Covid-19 test

Contact your local Welfare Rights Department, they should be able to advise and possibly support at tribunal if that becomes necessary.
