Isn't this just talking about the proposals laid out in the DWP consultation?
They're reporting on it really late.
From what I've seen, nothing has been set in stone yet.

This isn't a new and there's been a lot of threads here about this since March. It's related to the white paper changes that was announced in the March 2023 budget. No changes are expected for quite sometime and there will be a general election by Jan 2025.
