Lcwra reassessment

Hello
Can someone explain to me the backlogs with reassessment for lcwra? Does this mean the people due to get reassessed would be delayed? I have read some stuff but I am getting confused.
And when someone gets a reassessment for lcwra, do they have to give a fit note? Or are they sent a questionnaire via post, fill it in, get a phone call date with a professional and a decision will be made?

Also the gov website says reassessment happens between 6 to 36 months but I have read everywhere else there is no time period. Which is correct?
Thank you -
They were suspended for quite somtime due to covid and concentrating on new claims only. They started back for selected people back in June then they were suspended again. They are supposed to start back fully by the end of the year, whether they will is another matter. When they do start back there will be backlogs and they won't contact everyone all at the same time.LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise and it has no end date. Everyone's review time will be different, some wait a year and others a lot longer. When it is time for your review you will receive a letter on your journal telling you that they are referring you for an assessment. A few days later you will receive the UC50 form in the post. Another assessment is most likely because most people have them. You do not need to provide fit notes. The review process is the same as any other WCA.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you so much!!
How would someone know when the reassessments starts again?
And what is the longest time someone hasn't had an assessment that you have come across? Preferably for mental health conditions? If you can mention this, that is.
Again thank you! You have been very helpful -
No problem. We will know because we will hear about it from other people on here, like we did when they contact selected people back in June. The longest i've heard is about 10 years, no idea what health conditions they have. The timeframe that someone else waits isn't going to help because everyone will be different. My last WCA was in 2020.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Thank you
Also with regards to time period of the reassessment, why is it written on the gov website 6 to 36 months when it has no end date? Am I misunderstanding something? (I am not saying you are wrong btw I believe you). Sorry for the many questions

Timescales are nothing more than a guide. This is why decision letters never tell you a timescale. Reviews have been suspended for most people for the past 3 years. In normal times you can be reviewed at anytime but at the moment it's far from normal times.

Also one last question sorry.Once someone waits to get an appointment to get reassessed (after filling out the form), do they have to work or look for work or would they still receive benefits?
Thank you for your responses! -
If already getting LCWRA then nothing changes in terms of work requirements or payments, after filling out the form. Everything carries on as before while the reassessment process continues.

As i advised, LCWRA is an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise. This doesn't change while waiting for a review decision.
