Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

As ever, please make sure that your comments remain respectful of other people's opinions and keep to our online community house rules.

Have another booked this week , really can’t do it. I just don’t want to speak to anyone. I missed my first telephone assessment so this will be the second . I just can’t deal with it.

Unfortunately as they say if you want the benefits you have to jump through the hoops, is this a new application or a review?

Do you have someone that can be with you during the assessment? You can put your phone onto loud speaker so they can hear what's being said.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi poppy , it’s a real struggle atm , I’ve been in bed since Friday not wanting to deal with anything . I just don’t think I can do yet , CMHT have offered more support but I’m even finding it a struggle to speak to them atm . I know everyone had to go through speaking to them, I’m just can’t deal with it atm . I don’t know what to do ? If I miss this one they’ll definitely close my claim.

    Really sorry you're struggling @letitbe

Do you have any friends and family around that you could chat things through with if you feel able to?
