Hi, my name is Nicholas52! Why did they not backdate my LCWRA to 2017?

I won't pretend I know about your fit note problems, but know that knowledgeable people will be able to help later on.

To backdate that far you would have needed to give them continuous Fit Notes since 2017. A single one doesn't count.

Hi Albus, I think you are confused with the waiting period before LCWRA is paid (three full assessment periods).

DWP do do long backdates where the conditions have been met (continuous Fit Notes).

They knew about my situation on mental health and drug addiction but they did not give me the right information about my entitlement for sickness benefit so they are not doing there job correctly and did not make me aware that I could have claimed for pip.i have struggled to live on universal credit and got indepbt. This was unnecessary if they had done their job correctly but she handeld it personally and not professional she said it was self motivated and not anything to do with my mental health I believe i should be claiming from 2017 my first fit note

Is it possible you missed something due to your problems at the time? Perhaps review your Journal entries from 2017/2018.

You can make a formal complaint if you feel something went wrong in 2017
