With my website, ctrlalzshift.org, I'm trying to help people living with dementia to keep active, stay connected and have fun. Until the later stages, dementia is one of those invisible disabilities, difficult to explain, hard to understand. When my wife needs help in the changing room - trying on clothes or at the local pool, for example - there are rarely facilities for me to accompany her. So you either give up and lose the feel-good things in life ... or you find a way to change things around ...
