Hi all, I am a Masters student at Liverpool John Moores University, I am currently carrying out a study on the effects of Horse Riding Therapy on adults with cerebral palsy. As I study clinical biomechanics I will be measuring if Horse Riding Therapy improves walking and trunk coordination. I am collaborating with Acorn Farms (Kirkby, Liverpool) Riding for the Disabled Association and we are offering 6 weeks of Horse Riding Therapy for free for those who would be interested in taking part in the study.
As a volunteer at the Riding for the Disabled Association, I have seen first hand the wonderful things that horse riding therapy can achieve both psychologically and physically and hopefully I can contribute to the science behind it.
If you are interested in taking part or have further questions please do not hesitate to contact me on h.r.shepherd@2014.ljmu.ac.uk
Thanks
Hannah Shepherd
