Why our lenses are not sunglasses or a fashion statement

Our lenses might look like sunglasses but for people with Irlen syndrome they are so necessary. Some people think we are wearing them as a fashion statement. This is not the case. They help with our lives and given confidences and they enable us to do things that other people take for granted. Without the lenses it is very hard for me to read or write. Our lenses are a very special tool for people with Irlen syndrome. Our lenses don’t change everything the colour of the tint but they make everything cleaner for us to see.
