Awarded lowest rate of PIP for mobility

Hi since having breast cancer and treatment  in 2010 I was diagnosed with steroid induced diabetes,  this has caused me to have severe hyperglycaemic attacks.  I am on so much medication,  I take Exemestane for cancer which is degenerating my bones,  my spine is the woodseats my hips and legs,  I suffer from bad nerve pain in my legs also where the operations were to remove the cancer as I have damaged nerves,  also nerve pain in my neck,    I suffer from fatigue too.  I need aids to help me get about such as a walking stick and wheelchair for long trips,  or a scooter. I get stressed a lot easier nowadays and can't cope very easily at times,  I also struggle with anxiety too,  when applying for PIP they assessed me in the home the girl was there for just one hour and said I hadn't got anxiety because I looked her in the eye and was calm!  I had my daughters with me. Also they awarded me the lowest for mobility so now I'm not able to get a hoist in my car to help me get about, my husband struggles to get my wheelchair in and out of car and scooter because he isn't getting any younger.  Xx I'm a happy and easy going person xxx

Despite all the mobility problems you described you were awarded the lower rate (standard rate) of PIP mobility. This means that you must have received 8 points, do you know what these points were for? 

In addition, you didn't mention daily living.  Did you get any award of daily living? 

You can challenge a PIP award. It can be worth seeking advise on this, but importantly there are time limits to challenging such a decision.  Do you know the date of the decision to award standard rate mobility?
