I am sorry to hear that you have been refused PIP. Was this your first claim?
If you want to challenge a refusal decision, you must request a Mandatory Reconsideration within 1 month of the date of the decision letter. For example,
if you received the PIP decision on 26 February 2017 you must make the request
by 25 March 2017.
It is best to put the request in writing stating that you
want to ‘lodge a mandatory reconsideration against the decision dated …. that refused PIP.’ Then explain why you believe that you entitled to PIP.
