SBS Short Bowel Syndrome

wildlifewildlife Member Posts: 1,314 Pioneering
Hi everyone, Has anyone else on here been treated for this condition? I had my gall bladder removed at a very young age with open surgery then another op. for adhesions round my liver with keyhole surgery. This 2nd op was botched and has left me with faulty peristalsis and a narrowed section in my small intestines. I also have adhesions and have a continuous spasm i.e. movement just below the ribcage and eating is very difficult as I am so bloated and never feel hungry. Some days it really hurts and I don't know how much longer I can stand it for. I've been reading about small intestine resection. Has anyone had this done and what was the outcome ?
