Peg feeding - do I have to pay for pureed food?

    Hi my son joe as just had peg done he has all his meds and fluids going into peg and he has to have purée diet I'm trying to find out if I can get purred food for free.

    Hello, I'm afraid I don't know if you can have puréed foods free on the NHS.
    However it's very easy to purée foods at home with a hand held blender or food processor, they are often very reasonably priced I picked up my food processor at a car boot sale it was brand new and still boxed for £5. It blends everything. Most super markets sell hand held blenders for under £10 if not cheaper. 
    Are you able to blend the meals you would give him if he didn't have a peg?
