My son has just been diagnosed with hemiplegia, what will happen now? and what benefits is he entitled to, I am really struggling to find out information on this as he is so young, but all in being told by the hospital is they will review him in 12 months as his age.

Does he any extra care needs than a non-disabled 1 year? You might be able to get DLA if he does.0

Hi @Smarshall welcome to the community.
Firstly, take a look at the benefits calculator to see what you could be entitled to.
Secondly, we have some films by parents about disabled children that might be good for you? The first one is about processing a new diagnosis.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSpkYnOMe8k&feature=youtu.be
This one is about feeling overwhelmed.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glACggVD_kM&feature=youtu.be
