Please Help, how can I turn off email notifications for this site?

Don't get me wrong I like this site and come here often. But I didn't realise that I ticked something allowing email notifications. I now have hundreds in my email and I'm really stressed out. I can't seem to work out how to turn them off. Please someone help as I don't know how to mass delete emails either and i cant cope wit all the emails.

go to you profile
then edit profile
on the right hand side is a notifications tab
unclick all catagories

Thank you so much.  I think I have now turned off email notifications. Phew.

I am still getting email notications despite unticking ALL the boxes. Can someone from admin please advise me. My email is bombarded and I don't know how to delete them except one by one, which takes ages.

Double check you haven't accidently touched the screen and then remember to save the settings. 
I only have mine on if someone mentions me as I was in that conversation to start with.

Your email provider should give you a delete all button for emails.
