    Hi my son has just turned 16 was on dla Highgate for adhd and odd he had to apply for pip was awarded 7 points had mandatory reconsideration has been turned down again so having to go down the appeal process are all kids with adhd getting turned down for pip I fought for years to get my son on high rate dla and he has an indefinite award now he’s had to apply for pip he’s got nothing, anybody out there that can give me some help on this I’m totally on my own a single parent and have no fight left anymore feel like I’ve fought for 10 years and again now I’m having to do this all over again, I’ve never heard of any kid with adhd wining this pip any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

    PIP isn't awarded based on a diagnosis, it depends on how those conditions affect them daily. It's different to DLA and you can't compare 2 people. Lots of people claim PIP for ADHD and mental health. As the MR decision remained the same you now have 28 days to request the Tribunal. For this you need to fill out the SSCS1 form and send the MR decision letter with it, otherwise they will refuse the Tribunal.

    Expect a very long wait as a lot of people are waiting several months and more for  hearing date. I'd advise you to get some help with this from your local CAB or the other disability advise centre. Good luck.

    Also 1 last thing I called dwp today to say I had a letter from the specialist for them to tell me his mr was already decided but could put me through to desicion  makers and they did, a letter on its way to me but the lady said to send his letter from specialists in along  with school integrated support plan and they’ll look at it again can they do this before a tribunal??

    There's no harm in sending the evidence in, copies only of course. Is there any reasons why you didn't send the evidence before? Please be aware of the time frame for the Tribunal request.

    The schools had just broke off and I couldn’t get an appointment for his adhd specialist but got the letter now just awaiting on school going bk tomorrow, so getting his meeting for his intergrated support plan do fingers crossed it goes ok il put in for appeal as soon as the letter comes thanks
