Hi @CaroleG, and a warm welcome to the community!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this, that must have come as a shock. Do keep us updated and let us know if we can be of any assistance. Do you have any support in place for your mental health issues?

There is no support for my mental health issues because in North Yorkshire they only provide care to people in psychosis or hospitalised from a serious suicide attempt.

I don't belong to a trade union because last time something like this happened and I was a member, they never turned up to my hearing, had not read the history and thet also work for the NHS mental health trust I work for. So I'm on my own in this abd can't afford a solicitor aa I work part time due to my additional disability of narcolepsy.

Hi @CaroleG, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm from North Yorkshire too and there may be some support in the community you may be eligible for.

I'd really recommend visiting your GP and making them aware of your situation, as they'll be best placed to refer you for anything you may be entitled to. I know it's not a solution, but it'd be good to ensure you're getting all the support you can whilst things are difficult.

I saw my GP specifically about my mental health deteriorating as a direct result from work isses and ny GP told me there are no secondary services to refer me to because I don't suffer psychosis and am not suicidal. There is no community support for people suffering anxiety, depression oe persobality disorders. He also said I know this because I work fir the Trust commissiined to provide community support for mental health in NY.

Where have you received help from?

I have taken this week just to try and make sense of being suspended. My director of services has been trying to get rid of me because of my disabilities and he.knows it would be illegal so he is trying to come up with some other reason to get me out.

I have been asking questions about my line manager lying about me and also about the lack of services in Scarborough. They don't want to answer them.

That must have been really frustrating, @CaroleG. I haven't received help personally but I know of some brilliant support in York, but with you being in Scarborough I'm guessing that's too far for you to reasonably travel. There's a MIND service for Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale, I wonder if they're worth getting in touch with?

I've moved your post into our ask an employment advisor discussions, and hopefully one of our advisors will be able to advise on your work situation. I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with this on top of everything else, and I really hope we can offer some guidance.

Thank you so much to everyone who has offered advice. Unfortunately, the Trust I work for covers York, too. So they won't help me.

I appreciate you passing this onbto an employment specialist group for me.

    Hi CaroleG
I am really sorry to hear about you having issue's at work. This happened to me many years ago when I worked in care for vulnerable people. Like Pippa has said above go and see your GP and discuss your situation. I know its hard and you will feel worried, but when I was investigated it made me ill and when they had finished their investigation they found that I was telling the truth and the work colleague who did not like me had accused me of incidents which had not happened. Nothing come of it and my work record wasn't affected and I kept my job. Have you tried to contact Citizens Advice CAB?

CAB do have employment advisors which maybe able to support and advise you.
These are the details for CAB in Scarborough:
    Address: 4 Elders Street
                      YO11 1DZ
    Phone:01723 368710 Reception:03444 111 444

Take care and good luck I hope you get the support you need.

Many thanks. I will see my GP this coming week because it is definitely affecting me.

I have now received the letter explaining the reasons and telling me that I cannot discuss it with anyone otherwise it will go against me.
