I'm sorry to hear about your situation @Shell1966, you've had a really tough time and I hope easier days are on their way.

Have you checked if there's anything else you could claim? Are you on PIP at the moment?

Could your employer offer you any support @Shell1966? Did you discuss potential reasonable adjustments that could maybe help you manage better at work, or have you made the decision to leave?

I'm so sorry to hear about your condition and your pain, that must be tough. It might also be worth looking into a needs assessment, to see if you're entitled to any extra help around the home too.

hi pipped..I'm a janitor we tried discussing it but there's no easy form for mopping cleaning or clearing up spillage s we use long dustpan and brushes but I would still have to use my arms  it hurts like he'll at home as I try to get on with tasks here even peeling spuds hurt for tea filling the kettle hurts I know it's long winded I fill it up with a cup sounds mad but I try I just want to go back to work ...I'm very proud of the fact I an our team worked together and got gold award for our standards .only option is I work with someone but it just means 2 people doing 1job

Ahh I see, that sounds like a very physical job. That's such a shame @Shell1966, I'm sorry :(

it's one of those things at my last interview the base of the letter said possibility of terminating my contract  ....they said I will here in 7 days .. I pretty sure I'm going to have to retrain for some think else I can stand for short periods and walk short distances before pain sets in while do I g one or the other I have to move or things either go numb or painful
