Hello my name is Jasmine. I suffer with anger issues. I tend to shout at my parents quite a bit for no reason what so ever and sometimes I can control it but recently started to meditate. Is there anything else that I can do about it? Thank you.
-
Hi @jasmineirani, I'm glad meditation has been beneficial. Is this something you have spoken to your parents about?
Here is some information about how to manage anger (NHS), please to let us know how you get on.Scope -
Thank you Chloe. I will check it out today.

Hi @jasmineirani, I don't think we've spoken before. I have had massive issues with anger throughout my life and like you, I eventually decided that I had to do something about it. Meditation is great and I'm so pleased to read that it's helped you. I got involved with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Mindfulness. These therapies help you to identify your triggers and give you the tools to manage those feelings. Don't laugh but I've even begun accessible Yoga as that teaches breathing techniques that aid calmness.
It's all about finding what works for you. Go easy on yourself and keep in touch.

Hi Richard I hope you are keeping well. Good for you that you are doing accessible yoga. I would be so angry if someone laughed about it. How long have you been doing accessible yoga for and do you enjoy it.

I've been doing it for a week. I guess I find it slightly amusing because it's so out of comfort zone. How are you doing today?Scope

It might be a bit trite to say it, but meditation really helps me with this too. Have you been doing any particular meditation @jasmineirani? I've found Headspace to be pretty useful in the past.
-
I am not doing particular meditation but I is from youtube and the man who talks is very good. But today I have had a little bit of a rough day. Its when things don't go my way and thats when it tends to start.
-
It certainly is a good way of relaxing.
