Hello @marcushodgkiss93. The rules on terminal illness are normally based upon a medical professional having said you have less than 6 months left to live.

With regards to Income Support (and all legacy benefits) you can only make a new claim for these if you are receiving SDP.

I don't believe it is classed as a terminal illness @marcushodgkiss93. 
As mentioned, to be considered for 'terminal illness' under the benefit system, a medical professional will need to have told you that you have less than 6 months to live.

@marcushodgkiss93 I think it might be worth contacting either CAB or welfare rights they would be able to discuss all this with you by phone, you might find that easier than online advice perhaps?
