Hello all! We've been contacted to get your feedback on some proposals for South Kensington station

The proposals will:

  • Obtain the necessary planning consent for the new step-free entrance on Thurloe Street.
  • Deliver Step-Free Access from Thurloe Street to the ticket hall and the subway tunnel.
  • Complete the step-free journey from the ticket hall to the platforms of the Circle & District lines.
  • Improve accessibility and the travel experience for everyone, including parents with buggies and those with restricted mobility.
  • Without our planning consent, there will be no Step-Free Access to the Circle & District lines. No other planning consent delivers Step-Free Access at South Kensington Station.
  • TfL has an existing consent granted in 2018 for Station Capacity Upgrade works. This consent provides enabling works for Step-Free Access between the ticket hall and platform. Our planning consent is required to complete the delivery of Step-Free Access.

We'd love to hear what you all think of these! Do you see them benefitting you? Do you use this station much?
