Changing second name with benefits

Hi
I’m changing my second name and I was wondering how I change it with the benefits. I have tried phoning and not getting through. Does anyone know if you can just write to them and tell them? And what proof is acceptable to send? I have a deed poll with signed witnesses on that. Thanks for any help and advice ?

Hi I would think writing to them with a copy of the deed poll would suffice.Be extra nice to new members.

Depending on what benefits you are referring to if UC you could report it on your journal
For pip if you cant get through then yes write with copy of deed -
It’s DLA and ESA. Just can’t get through on phone and I thought they would want written proof anyway.
