During Christmas, I love buying the RadioTimes Christmas TV guide and highlighting all the different films/TV shows that I would like to watch over the festive period. Whether it be the Strictly Come Dancing Finale, or the Doctor Who Christmas special - there's always something for everyone to watch!

We would like to know what you're looking forward to watching over the festive period  and if you don't have the current RadioTimes, I've posted a guide below to 'The Best Christmas TV for 2021.' You can also share different films/TV programmes that aren't on the guide, and that you just enjoy around Christmas time :)

I must say, I'm looking forward to 'Call the Midwife Christmas Special (BBC)' :D

I haven’t decided what I will watch, but more times out of none I end up watching a lot on catch up anyway.

My family do that with the Radio Times and the highlighter as well :D

I don't know what I will watch. I am not a big TV or film person but maybe if there is a Top Gear/Grand Tour or something I will watch that. :)

When we were younger we used to go through the TV guide and set up reminders on our phones for everything we wanted to watch. This was before smartphones, so it had to be a case of an alarm for every show, which took ages to set up.

I think I will watch the Doctor Who special, but I'm also looking forward to seeing some Christmas movies that I haven't seen in a while. Somehow, I managed to go through last year without watching one Christmas movie, which I will be changing this time around.

I used to love flicking through and selecting what to watch each day one of the highlights was Lassie films

Like to watch strictly,  bake off

I'm the same and I'm grateful for catch up TV due to work commitments etc! :)

Haha, it surely classifies as a family tradition, right?! :D

Oh yes, Top Gear is an all-year round programme to watch - it's great!

Will definitely be watching both episodes of Mrs Brown's Boys on iplayer at some point over Christmas and that will be all.
I do enjoy Mrs Brown's Boys too. I'm always in fits of laughter watching that programme!

Absolutely no logic to buying a Radio Times nowadays but it’s a Christmas tradition and I’m sat staring at it now. A relic from a past era.
There are definitely more sustainable ways to educate yourself about what's on TV, but there's something nostalgic about buying one, I agree :D

Both of those programmes are fantastic @janer1967 :)

Do you know if they are doing a celebrity Christmas bake off this year?

What are we all watching then? Anything particularly Christmassy in the past couple days?

    Hi all,

Thanks for initiating such a great thread @Libby_Scope. I particularly like Nativity (1, 2 & 3) but that is on Netflix. From the link you have provided I particularly like the sound of Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs at Christmas and The Voice Kids but it seems there is plenty to keep all of us entertained!  :)

    Hi @Victor

I am sorry to hear there's nothing that currently catches your eye as worth watching over Christmas. What sorts of things do you usually enjoy watching?  :)

It depends. I don't really watch BBC One/Two or ITV...

Do you enjoy other TV channels? Or do you not really watch TV? :) I end up watching a lot of Netflix or catch up TV as I'm not always able to watch the things that I want live!

Used to always love getting the Christmas radio times but in recent years I seemed to get it and complain that it was all so much worse then the previous...lol

Haven't watched TV for ages now...only ever watch prime or netflix...I'm addicted to Korean drama lately. Its excellent.

Loved Black, Healer Squid Game, Train to Busan (I think) and many more.
