Two years ago senior management fell down 12 stone steps at a rail station and did some real damage above her eye, today she tripped up on the stone patio and ended up being taken into hospital with a deep cut in the same place. We waited 2 hours for an ambulance, I wasn't allowed to go with her, 5 hours later she has just had a CT scan and still hasn't seen a doctor, they won't even allow her a cup of tea until she does.
Spoken to her a couple of times and she says its packed out, who would have thought that on a Monday evening?
Hopefully they will allow her home for some TLC.

@Teddybear12 I'm ok thanks for asking, no one with me but I'm keeping the kids updated (well they are 34 and 38 lol ) they did get me to put an overnight bag together before they took her off in the ambulance.
We can only imagine the enormous strain these people work under.

So sorry to hear this and wishing sm a speedy recovery

I can't understand with there being no covid restrictions anymore why you are not allowed to go with her it seems to me this will end up being the norm

Take care of yourself too will you be OK on your own do you have a personal alarm or anything

Hi @woodbine - very sorry to hear about SM's fall. As Teddybear12 says, they may keep her in overnight, thinking about concussion. Yes, please do keep us all updated. I'm sure she'll be fine, but it must be a worry for you right now. You're both always in my thoughts & prayers.

That's good worried about you having a seizure and being on your own

Might be a good idea to get one of those alarms I had one had one for round neck but another one like a watch and if you fall to the floor it activates the watch alarm through to the responder service.  The supplier was Tunstall alarm

Update: CT scan was ok, they glued the cut together, she is full of small cuts and looks like has gone with Mike Tyson, we were able to bring her home at about 10-30 last night, has had a good sleep and I have insisted she stays in bed today.
As for me I'm doing ok and have got neighbours looking after both of us, in that we are so lucky.
Thank you all for your messages and concern. xx

Thanks @L_Volunteer - I'm fine, & my friends on here would be here for me too if needed, as they have been. We all support each other, & I'm sure you mean the best in saying my efforts are appreciated, but it's what we do for each other without thought; as friends we matter to each other.
