Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

As ever, please make sure that your comments remain respectful of other people's opinions and keep to our online community house rules.

One and a half hours is a mega stint @Amalegra! Well done!

Something else I do is to break down the job I need to do and make a list. For example, if I need to fill a form in, my list would be:

Get form and black pen ready
    Fill in name and address
    Do page 1 2 3 4 5 6 (circle each page when it's been done)
    Check through form
    Post form

Cross each thing off when you've done it. This gives a sense of achievement each time you can cross something off. Setting your goal too high can result in feelings of failure and being overwhelmed, set those goals lower and you will feel that the job is getting done (and then you often do more!).
