Silly question

I saw this debated on another forum and wonder what people here think
If you're cooking and you use a measuring cup or jug and only use it to measure water, is it still clean? Would you wash it up again or just dry and put away?

I often wonder whether I should as I'm doing it @Biblioklept I usually rinse it out, but not wash properly, as a bit of a compromise I think.1

If it’s just water then I’d just dry it and put it away1

Question for those who would wash it again
After you’ve washed it, it’s had water in it again, so do you wash it again after you wash it? 😂2 -
I’m sure annoyingly I’d sing this to my children before meals sometimes
We wash wash wash wash wash wash wash wash
all the live long day
we wash wash wash wash wash wash wash wash
wed rather wash than play
we are always washing
we’d rather wash than play
we are always washing
we’ll wash ourselves away
repeat chorus 🤣1 -
@teddybear12 my point is if it’s dirty after only having water in from measuring, why isn’t it dirty after only having water in from being washed?
PS I’m only kidding1 -

Yes, it's not a very logical thing @Biblioklept, I just do it to scratch the brain itch
Your comment made me laugh @66Mustang! Though I do already feel as though my life is an endless cycle of washing up...0 -
