Almost 7 months after returning my PIP renewal I got a call earlier from the DWP a 15 minute chat and my award stays the same, standard care/enhanced mobility but this time a 10 year award with only a light touch review after 10 years.
Have to admit the lady I spoke to was excellent.

    Great news @woodbine

I have to say I have met excellent people from PIP and also ESA in the past. We only usually hear the negative stories so it's important to voice our good experiences as well.

That is good news, @woodbine. You know where you stand and can plan your finances accordingly, plus of course the worry about losing PIP no longer exists.

I too have found the people at PIP and DWP very helpful and understanding. I have no idea when my PIP expires as they haven't told me! But I am not going to worry about it as I recently retired and can demonstrate that my health has deteriorated, so if they do stop my PIP I will be able to put a good case forward for it to be reinstated.

Very true except that Sm's renewal went in 2 months ago so will have to wait for that now, but it was a weight off my mind and that there are some advantages of getting older  B)

Good luck waiting for that @woodbine. How are you feeling about the wait at the moment?

It sounds really positive that it was a weight off your mind and there are some advantages of getting older.
