Really worried doctor wont be able to write a letter that supports the issues I have
I am seeing the doctor today about having my dose of anti depressants higher since my depression has been much worse for the last few months.
At the end I want to ask him if he could write a letter which supports the issues I have that relate to certain PIP descriptors so I can send the letter with my PIP form as evidence. I will give him a print out of the those particular issues that I have.
I'm so worried that he wont be able to do this, if I don't have evidence it seems likely that I'll probably get 0 points.

Hey @Ross1975 try not to panic too much about sending in extra evidence. They use that as supporting evidence, so if you don't hand any in, it's totally ok as they tend to rely on what you wrote on your forms and your answers in the assessments.

Trouble is Albus is that it seems they don't believe me. The last time I applied for PIP I told them that I'm unable to go to unfamiliar places on my own and I explained why, I got 0 points and in my result letter they said I am able to go to unfamiliar places on my own. It seems like the same thing will probably just happen again as for all they know I could be lying, unless I provide evidence from a doctor that backs up what I'm saying.

Sorry to hear that @Ross1975 it can be really frustrating getting people to just believe you. Will this be for a new application for PIP? Or for a Mandatory reconsideration?

It's for a new application. I've not applied yet because I thought it's best to get supporting evidence first as that can take a while. Once I've got that then I'm not sure if I should apply for the PIP forms first then contact CAB to help me or do it the other way around.
I've seen the doctor now and luckily he was very understanding and said he will write me a letter supporting the things that I've printed out, but it'll take 2 weeks or more since he'll be away. It'll cost £30 but it's worth it, especially as it can also be used when I have a WCA reassessment.
