Reclaim severe premium quickly

in Carer's allowance
Hi
If originally received a severe premium payment then lost it due to having a full time carer ...if you was to lose your carer how quickly can you reclaim your previous severe premium payment .are you allowed to ?

    Did not say want to lose i ment If the carer was to have a change in circumstances and had to finish being a carer and could not get anyone else to be a carer for 35hrs then would want to reclaim previous severe payment was getting before changed to have a carer just wondered do you have to start claim fresh .

    As far as I am aware- and I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong.
    The SDP is paid to you because you receive middle/ high rate DLA care or receive the new PIP care.
    Have you been reviewed yet for pip?

    If someone is claiming carers allowance for you and this person can no longer do this job, I would think you need to contact the dwp and tell them your circumstances have changed? But a benefits advisor will probably see this and help you out.

    SDP is paid when you receive PIP daily care and ESA IR or some other income related element
    As long as nothing has changed then you retain an SDP as an underlying benefit,
    When the carer benefit is closed you should then be entitled to have the underlying benefit paid

    I'm a bit lost because you have a similar thread up about being a carer. 

    Do you have a carer or are you looking to be the carer? 
    From being on UC I thought they reduced it if you claimed carers allowance?

    Yes I am looking on being a carer and was using an example that if I did I don't k ow for how long so rather than upset my uncles premium he just paid me from that and if I left he would still have his premium as well as u/c would they allow me to care on that basis without job search requirements as I would be caring for 35hrs .

    I think an advisor is the best person to ask. 
    UC is a bit of a minefield with different rules.
