Hi I got a letter from the tribunal and won I spoke to pip and they said that they have to see if if I can be awarded my claim and said it will take 4 weeks is this correct please can you help thanks

    The DWP will look at this to see if they want to appeal the decision.If you contact CockneyRebel he seems to know quite a bit about appeals system or if someone could pass this on I don’t know how.

    DWP have 28 days to ask judge for a statement of reasons (SOR) but rarely do they go on to appeal a tribunal decision.

    It usually takes 5-8 weeks for the DWP to put an appeal award into payment. When you do receive the decision letter look carefully at the end date and the review date. Tribunal hearings have a tendancy of eating into the remaining length of the award. Even if the tribunal have recommended a date the final decision is with the DWP
