Hello disabledlady43 welcome to the scope cumunity. Which acessment are you referring to ? PIP or ESA the DWP may think feel you need an acessment to decide if you are able to do any work dispite your disability. I know it sounds odd or unfair until the government and the powers that be come to their senses this or that is the way it is.

Unfortunately most people have to attend those assessments, whether it's ESA, UC or PIP. If you want to continue to be paid your money then yes you need to attend.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
