In our culture, we often expect that the next doctor, the next specialist, the next treatment, will cure us. A wise woman told me "there is no cure". I have been searching and searching for one, trying everything from traditional medicine to Eastern medicine, Botox, acupuncture, massage, meditation, and so many specialists that refer me to yet more specialists.
All to no avail. I am ready to give up the search.
Sad. But now living in the real world of myself as I am, much as I may rail against it.
Thank you all for helping me come to this place.

hi @cracker
I know how you feel, I'm the same.
I'm still hoping someone can give me a diagnosis.
I have an amazing doctor, who is doing everything she can, to help me with it.
all I can say is please don't give up.
take care

Thanks fo;r your kind and thoughtful responses. I am not giving up living as best I can, but the damage to bones and muscles cannot be reversed and will only continue to worsen.
I am seeing a Palliative Care doctor next week and hope he can help with the pain. I also have to gain a lot of weight (20 pounds minimum (I think that is around 10 kilos). in order to build some muscle to support the skeleton.
I will not get better, but I can get better in spirit and in a search for things to enrich the life the "new normal" life I have. So many of you have done this grace and compassion for yourselves.
Peace to all. -
Hi @cracker . Good for you, and much compassion and support for your bravery. I went through the same thing a few years ago. It's painful and difficult, but when you've gone through it you get to reinvent yourself, build a whole new life - life 2.0!
