Do I have to keep having assessments every year?

Hello I wonder if you can help me I have a condition for lymphedema of my right leg my problems started couple of years ago since then my condition hasn't got any better recently I have been called in for a assessment I've already had two assessments now today I've got another letter for another assessment the first assessment no sorry the socket assessment I appealed and I won my taste than I just want to know do I have to keep on taking assessments every year even though I want it's through the courts

    It's torture  for  us I had  a  pip  and  esa50 questionnaire to  fill in  2 weeks apart  struggle to a little bit my hubby had to fo the majority. 2 extensions  later I was  happy to see  them  leave

    As Mike has explained clearly how it affects ESA. Not too sure if you are asking about PIP as well.
    But if you are it all depends on the length of the award given 
    Some awards are for 9 months before you have to start all over again and others can be for 10 years. The average length tends to be 3/5 years with a re-assessment carried out 12 months before the end date - after 2 years for a 3 year award and after 4 years for a 5 year award.
