Hi I won my daughters appeal as I was her appointee / carer when she had DLA .. They took it of her / and me .. Now we have been awarded it all back .. Is disability now universal credit .. Not pip / or DLA any more ? Ty for your help

Hi,Great news. PIP isn't part of UC. Your daughters PIP claim, is her claim and not yours. Being her appointee means you just manage her money and any money you receive on her behalf should be passed onto her.You'll be able to claim to claim the carers element of UC for yourself providing you care for her for at least 35 hours per week. You do not need to claim carers allowance to claim the £156 per month carers element.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please.
