Happy birthday @helenzx6r! I'm so sorry it's not been a good day so far. You've made a really good first step in arranging to see your doctor and I hope it will help. In the meantime, you're among friends here, and we're wishing you all the best.
Do take care and do something nice for yourself today, you deserve it! -
Hello @helenzx6r Pleased to meet you welcome. Congratulations on your birthday.
Sorry what you are going through. We are here to support you. You are a valued member of our community.
I am one of the team of community champions who advise and help new members who join.
I can understand your pain we are here to listen .
One bit of advice I can suggest is small steps. I know from reading wish to have advice on benefits we have a lot of information on the website.
If it is possible speak to your local CAB office and ask for a benefit review what your entitled to. Make an appointment and go down.
They will tell you. Having some one face to face speaking does help.
I am a gentleman of a certain age and cope well with this IT. Even so have some days get a lot of confusion. Forget what I am doing. Need guidance.
Has to be simple for me to understand .
As for your Doctor are coping OK speaking and talking to them.
I know even myself have and can talk have anxiety and need the services of an advocate. Sometimes. That might help. The practise manager of your surgery should be able to help.
With seeking advocates that is some one to speak on your behalf if you struggle to ask for what you need. I believe NHS websites might have information on them.
One further point wish you well . Keep in touch anytime.
Please take care.

was very kind of you.x -
Hello @helenzx6r Thank you for kind words. My pleasure .
I hope my post and @Pippa_Scope helps and eases the pain on this your birthday.
Birthdays are I know difficult days . I know being on my own as well . What I do my little tip is be good and kind to yourself. Make a special meal for yourself. Have some relaxation time try to think of things positive.
The big step you have done is talking and we as a community are here to share and care.
You are not alone. Always some one here for a chat. Anytime.
Hope what happens the rest of the day is good for you.
Please take care.
