    Hi there,I’m new to this and wasn’t quite sure how to post a new thread so thought it best to comment under someone else’s question on the same subject.

    I’m looking for help as I’m on ESA and PIP, I phoned up after learning about SDP and was told over the phone I could apply(a few simple questions) I was then told I would hear back from them to which I received a text message which said;
    Payment will be paid to your account for arrears of SDP after quality checks are completed, thanks.!
    What I would like to know is ,has anyone else received a text like this and if so how did it go?, and what do “quality checks” mean?.
    Just interested to know if know there is a limit of arrears?,as I started pip a year ago. Thanks

    If you qualify then the SDP will be backdated to the start of your PIP award. It can take 3-4 weeks for the claim. Hopefully not too long.
    Proud winner of the 2019 empowering others award. This award was given for supporting disabled people and their families for the benefit advice I have given to members here on the community.
