Hi @raxa welcome to the community. How are you doing today?

Thank you for sharing this with us, I am sorry to hear what you have been going through.  I have you had a talk with the support worker and your son and see if there's a task he would be willing to do? If it's possible maybe starting off with one task as a goal for the week/s and maybe in return a fun activity could be planned.

I'll tag in @SparkleSheffieldAutismAdvisors and see if they have any suggestions.

Hi @raxa, thank you for sharing this with us. Have you looked at the National Autistic Society or Mencap? They may be able to provide specialised advice for your son. Is there a set plan for his support workers? It may be worth going through with them again about your son's needs so they better understand him. I hope you're able to find something that works and I hope the community can allow you to be surrounded by like-minded people. Please do be in touch if there is anything else we can do :)

Hi @raxa I am sorry to hear this, this must not be easy for you and your son. Have you informed the Neurologist about the effect it's had on your son?

Sorry if i have misread what you have said,  did the Therapist refuse to see him?

Thank you very much for your advise, Kingswood central only see adult who moderate learning diffculties, therefore my son doesn't fall into there categories.

Hi @raxa, thanks for this. How long have you been waiting for bentley house? I hope the waiting times aren't too long!

    Hi @raxa
From what you are describing it sounds like the so called Carer has no idea how to care and support your son, only having a very limited understanding of the complexity of living with neurodiverse issues. Such is the lack of training of so called support professional  here in the UK regarding these types of issues
Understanding your sons interests and working with him at his pace is the only way to improve his self worth.

Have you contacted the NAS? They might be better equipped to help you access resources and services too. Give them a call tomorrow, there should be a office number on their website you can call or email them.
