Hi 
My sister is my carer and is thinking of going back to work full time i know that she will not be able to claim carers allowance dose this mean i will be able to claim sdp as i will have to pay a carer to come in and help me.

    That will depend what other benefits you receive and who you live with.

    Unless your sister claims a qualifying benefit such as PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care then unfortunately, you won't be able to claim the SDP. One of the qualifying benefits is that you must live alone or be classed as living alone.
