Where do you go for UK holidays?

I really like going to Hastings at the seaside. It has a big hill overseeing the area and the sea with hill lifts you can use, one of which has wheelchair access. It doesn't have amusements on the pier like other seaside towns, but it has a miniature railway running along the beach, a set of different themed big miniature golf courses, a river with boats and loads of other amusements by the beach. I would recommend the Old Town Fryer for fish and chips, it is very good!

Here is a picture I took from the hill. You can just see the pier in the background.

Thanks. I go to Blackpool, Llandudno and Whitby. These are all places which have the kit I need ie ceiling hoist, profiling bed, wet room, shower chair/commode. I couldnt holiday without them.

I have never been to Blackpool, but it is one place I will visit on my next holiday weekend away next month.

We are a big fan of days out. This summer we stayed at a campsite for five days. Next summer we are going on a fishing vacation. We go to lots of visitor attractions in Britain.

A fishing vacation sounds great! There are plenty of good places in the UK to go. It is one of the things I want to do when I go to Canada at some point.

Also one more question- what to do during October half term? Any other suggestions appreciated. I already have some ideas written down- like making puppets and swimming as a family too.

I am not sure where you are based but for day trips what about Thorpe Park, or Chessington World of Adventures. There are also sarfari parks and zoos.

I’m from Surrey. Chessington WOA is literally a few miles away from me.

Yes. The first time I was 4 1/2 years old. My parents took me for a few hours one summer day. We have been going each summer for many years now. Two months ago I took my kids for the first time ever. We strolled around the park and had a picnic lunch there too.

Have you ever been to Legoland @M_Anthony? What did you think of it? We want to go next summer.

A very long time ago, from what I remember it was good. I always loved lego!

Have a look at this site, hope it has some good ideas.

I have been Margate as well a few times, I used to go to Dreamland before the closure and re-development. I liked the beach and the other amusements.
