Hi all just a quick chat. Has anybody used cannabis to help them.with pain? I have used it to help me eat as I don't get hungry these days. So I tried cannabis & it's making me hungry. I only use it when I've had nothing to eat all day.

Hi @Bluey32, thank you for sharing this. Has it helped your pain levels?

I would like to use Cannabis but I wouldn't be in the category for having it.I have to find a doctor that is willing to give me the stuff... I have no idea whether it works or not.

I would like to try it as all the other pain killers available either make no difference or upset my body systems if I take more than minimal levels but my GP said it was illegal and I have no idea how to get it any other way. That's the trouble growing up in a non-drug culture age group/

sativex? some gps prescribe it..have heard it is good1

Another thing to consider is CBD or cannabidiol......this doesn't contain THC (the psychoactive bit that makes you 'high'). CBD is sold as a food supplement & is completely legal here in the UK. Some studies have shown that CBD is just as effective/more than effective than cannabis depending on a person's condition. Sativex can currently be prescribed for MS. Cannabis has helped some children with epilepsy. The balm that deb74 mentions is also worth considering as this can be rubbed into painful areas so long as the skin hasn't broken down. For anyone interested in finding out about CBD please consider joining the facebook group 'Simply CBD Users Support' where there is very informative help.

Hi. stopped using hemp balm now. It seemed to make a difference at first but no longer seems to be working. I have gone back to using voltarol gel. (I know it works). hemp balm might be ok for mild pain but it isn't any good if you are in a lot of pain.0

Sorry to hear it wasn't beneficial @deb74. I know I have found the voltarol gel to help a bit as well.

I have been using voltarol on my back for years but I thought I would try the hemp. I wasn't sure if it would work but it was worth a try.0

Definitely worth a try! @deb74! Have you ever tried Epson salts? I put these in my bath and find they really help to relax muscles.

Good idea Chloe but I haven't got a bath.0

Hi @deb74, I have heard people using this in a foot soak as well which could work. It's about the magnesium.
