    Hi,

State pension and carers allowance can't be paid together because they are classed as over lapping benefits. However, you can still have an underlying entitlement to it which means it could increase others benefits or mean you'll become entitled to them. See link. https://www.carersuk.org/help-and-advice/financial-support/help-with-benefits/other-pension-age-benefits

I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Unfortunately, it's a benefit and most people of state pension age claim this, whether you've been claiming benefits and been paid your NI credits or whether you've paid them yourself through working.
