Hi everyone. I had very rough morning, had my pip tribunal today. I have depresion and bad anxiety. Pip awarded me on f2f 0 points on daily living and mobility, the same on reconsideration. Today i been awarded 0 for daily living (my rep said i could score 13), and 10 on mobility. I'm so confused, feel like I lost again. Like they dont belive how my life is badly affected (after 8 years of abusive marriage). Even when my rep said i should get minimum standard rare for daily living they only accepted that my anxiety ONLY affect my going out part. We requested the reasons (not sure how its called). I dont know even what to do. Doctor was so rough, grilling with questions. Feel like giving up..

Hi,I'm sorry to hear this. It will be the statement of reasons and record of proceedings that you need to request from HMCTS. Once these are received you'll need to find an error in law, if this isn't found then i'm afraid you won't be able to take it any further. If that happens then you can report a worsening of condition but do be aware of doing this because you could lose everything you've already got.Good luck.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Thank you Poppy. Yes I'm struggling to think what to do. I'm so disappointed, not about money but that they did not acknowledge my struggles.. will wait for papers to arrive and see what what happens next. My doctor didnt even send papers on time, maybe that would help if they had written doctor statment. What other kind of evidence can I use? I want to start preparing before its too late again. X

You're welcome. It's your responsibility to send the evidence to support your claim, not anyone else's. Once you receive the statement of reasons if there's no error in law found then you won't be able to appeal to the upper Tribunal, and it may already be too late for this claim. If this happens then as advised, you can report a worsening of condition but it's risky doing this because you could lose everything you already have.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. Yes my rep asked my gp for letter and they replied that they wont be able to send in letter on time. Tribunal date was month away since he asked my doctor for letter.
Thats what I'm worried that i got standard mobility and i could loose it even if whats in dialy living got worst. I'm sorry for rumbling just really angry and sad. -
A letter from your GP isn't the best evidence to send because a GP very rarely knows how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors. They will only know the basics, like what medication you take and diagnosis etc.May i ask who represented you? Was it someone from an advice agency? or someone that knows you, like a friend or family member?I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

I had welfare support worker representing me and my friend by my side.
What evidence is good then.
Thank you x -
You're welcome. Evidence that states how your conditions affect you against the PIP descriptors. I don't know how your conditions affect you so i can't advise on what evidence is good for you.Writing a good submission with real life examples would also have helped. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait now for the statement of reasons and record of proceedings. Hopefully they won't be too long sending those but there's no timescales.I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. There are some companies that help with this….since googling pip and anxiety and depression today some companies came up where you can pay £20 for the year and they help you ….they specialise in pip claims. I can’t recommend them
As only
just applying myself and I have never used them . But they may be able
to help . Or go to citizens advice. Although online community groups are good, people commenting possibly aren’t specialists, or really know the correct information. I would consider speaking to a charity directly such as citizens advice or one of these paid companies xx -

The OP had representation for their Tribunal but was still refused. There's no need to pay anyone to help with any PIP claim because there's advice agencies out there that will help you for free.
