These types, the core ADD symptoms are compounded by trouble shifting attention
and the tendency to get "stuck" in negative thought patterns and/or
behaviors. In addition, there are often symptoms of longstanding mood issues,
mood instability, lower motivation, irritability and often memory or learning
issues, plus symptoms of being anxious and overly sensitive to the environment.

Hi @Johnlee1095 - Welcome to the community & thank you for joining. I'm not sure what advice I may be able to give. It doesn't seem like D. G. Amen's 7 different types of ADD is widely understood yet here in the UK, & some may say it's a hypothesis as it doesn't seem to be corroborated by others working in this field. Now that's not to say it's wrong, as I know with one of my problems (Chiari 1 Malformation), a few USA neurosurgeons were more than a decade ahead of ours here in the UK. So whether you're seeking a diagnosis, or further evaluation of your problems, I would imagine it would be best to discuss this with your GP, who could refer you to appropriate specialists. If you're hoping to get back into working, there's some help & advice about that here on Scope's website which may be helpful.I'll also ask my friend @thespiceman to advise as he has a great understanding of some of the mental health issues that as you say are compounding your problems. He will be able to provide you with some resources, which I hope you find helpful. If you have any specific questions, please do say, as others may be able to advise.0
