Myotonic Dystrophy, having a hip replacement

Is there someone who has muscular or myotonic Dystrophy, who has had  
a hip replacement operation? How was it ? What was your experience?  Any tips, very welcome as I am nervous about pending operation and recovery

    Thank you Chloe. I had a meeting with the anethatist . 
    I think they understand the situation.  Would love to hear from anyone who has had the procedure.
