Hi @Manc86 - Welcome to the community; it's good that you've joined. I'm sorry to read about the problems your partner is having with PIP. Did you ask for a copy of the assessor's report? You can do this by ringing the DWP on 0800 121 4433.
Unfortunately quite a lot of our members receive decisions based on a report with 'inaccuracies.' The way forward, should she wish, is to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR), which you can do within one month from the date of her decision letter. Another Decision Maker will then look at everything again.
If you haven't looked at the descriptors before, the following link may be useful. See: https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset-library/Scores-for-PIP-Descriptors-2020.pdf
It's important to understand that PIP isn't based on any diagnosis, rather how it disables a person causing them difficulties for any of the descriptors that apply. A MR is best done in writing (putting name & NI number on each page) giving a couple of recent examples detailing why she has difficulty, when, how often, what happens afterwards, etc. where applicable. Looking at the link above will also show the points that may apply so you can work out where she should have gained them. This is just the next stage, as sadly the success rate is less than 1 in 5. After that you can appeal & go on to a tribunal where the success rate is much more favourable.
I hope that the above is useful & please say if you have any questions. The community will be here to support you both. :)

Hi, yes put the MR in writing. If your partner's appeal has to go to a tribunal, then the tribunal will see what has been written, which adds to her evidence. :)

Thank you for your advice she was 1 point away from enahnce daily liveing we explained all help she needs becouse of her dyslixia to the assesor but the desision maker as stated shes not dyslexic and attended mainstream school witch is not sure as she went a special education school and as a dyslexia dignoses so why the desision maker got untrue info from is not adding up we are thinking of seeking a freedom of info from the education Department to get the proff of the above

I can see where you're coming from. In my own case my PIP decision letter said because I didn't see a pain management or physiotherapy specialist I could walk further than I had been seen to do. I'd mentioned 3 times in my initial claim booklet that I am a physiotherapist, & had also told the assessor who mentioned this in her report. So I sent proof of being a physio in with my MR. Whether that was actually needed or not I don't know. My MR was successful, but as mentioned most are not. MRs certainly seem unpredictable.
At a tribunal the panel will just want to know the affect of her disability in activities of daily living. They'll not be interested in the assessor's report particularly, nor any diagnosis, nor most likely which school she attended. They are independent of the DWP, & will make their own judgement. :)

Hi @Manc86 and welcome to the Community.  It's nice to meet you.  I'm really sorry to hear about your partner's PIP assessment and that the findings were incorrect.  Sadly this has happened to many of our members with "inaccuracies" being reported which is very unfortunate, so you and your partner are not alone with this.  I wish you well with the rest of your PIP journey though and I hope that @chiarieds excellent advice and information has been of help to you.  Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on with it.  If we can be of any help/support to you or your partner then please just let us know.  All the best.

Hi @Manc86 it has to be remembered that PIP isnt about any diagnosis but about care and/or mobility issues you have, if your partner scored 11 points (and was awarded standard rate care) there is a fair chance that an MR will find that missing point (so to speak), and I agree going into what schools etc wasn't necessary, hope the MR goes well.

Thats exactly our point we dont see why a school provision was put in decision letter we told assessor that i read my partners letters and fill forms in the only thing that was asked about dyslexia was do you have it do the words move even tho we said if she trys to witch she finds really hard yes thay do she never asked about what school or any dyslexic statement of education we are so close to geting a freedom of infomation becouse the decision maker as but some thing that is incorrct and can be proven
