If I decide to or am advised to give up driving due to declining health will I lose the mobility component of my PIP award or does it cover having to use Taxi's etc? I've a horrible feeling the scenario may be looming on the horizon and Id like some clarity as to where I stand. Thank you.

    Hi,

This will make no difference to your mobility award because it's not about not being able to drive.
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Hi as Poppy has advised it doesn't affect your award, I get enhanced and had to give up driving due to vision loss I could have got an adapted car to allow me to drive with my amputation but no good if you cant see other than few arm lengths away
