HI and welcome,You should treat it as a new claim, rather than a review. Add as much information as possible about how your conditions affect you. Then put a couple of recent real world examples of what happened the last time you attempted that activity for each descriptor that applies to you. Also have a look at the first post here in this thread https://community.scope.org.uk/discussion/56365/pip-form-filling#latest
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying. If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help. -
Hi and welcome to the community glad you have joined us here
There is a lot of advice on here about filling in forms which you will find in the PIP section, good luck for your claim keep us updated -
Remember, when completing the form you need to be able to perform a descriptor "reliably".
The PIP descriptors are on the link below -
https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/personal-independence-payment-pip/pip-points-system
Reliability has four components each of which must be satisfied in order for an activity to be undertaken ‘reliably’. The four components are:- Safely
- To an acceptable standard
- Repeatedly
- In a reasonable time
For example, if bathing was a problem due to pain you could put -
"I can bathe myself, BUT only if the pain and discomfort I'm in allows me to do so. If the pain is too great (as it often is), I'd need my partner to assist me. I CANNOT bathe myself without assistance on every occasion."
Good luck !!
