Carpets & Wheelchairs

Hi Everyone
I could really do with some advice about keeping carpets in place when using an electric wheelchair. I've only been using the wheelchair about 3 months and I'm finding that the carpet between in my hallway and the bathroom won't stay under the metal grip thingy. When I reversed out of the bathroom doorway it pulls up the carpet away from the grip leaving it unsecured and unsafe. The carpet is quite old but I don't want to replace it just yet as I'm thinking about moving in the near future. I'm sure I can't be the only one in this situation so I'll be grateful for any suggestions any of you may have.
Thank you !

Is it a solid floor or floorboards? if floorboards then use carpet tacks (small nails), if its solid then stick it down with the adhesive carpet fitters use. You could also try bigger door plates.2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

Not the solution you want but I have all over laminate so much easier
Try and speak to a carpet fitter for advice -
Thanks, woodbine, its solid floor, so I'll try and get some of the adhesive you suggested which should at least provide a temporary solution.

this is the sort of thing not expensive
