Epilepsy Action National Tea and Cake Break

This year Epilepsy Action, a British charity that provides support for people with epilepsy, is encouraging people to go virtual and host a fun filled tea break for their family and friends.

You can decide what's on the menu, draft a guest list and choose exactly when you want to hold your virtual tea party, all while providing support for the fantastic work that Epilepsy Action do.

The impact of your support

From the Epilepsy Action website. "Your donations will make it possible to go on providing the latest expert advice through the Epilepsy Action Helpline and website. You will also be helping more people to beat the loneliness that epilepsy can bring by expanding Epilepsy Action's network of local support groups."

Epilepsy is a common condition that affects the brain and causes frequent seizures, which are bursts of electrical activity in the brain that temporarily affect how it works. Around 87 people are diagnosed with epilepsy every day, with over 500,000 people in the UK having the condition, which is about 1 in every 100 people.

Organise your own virtual tea break

  • What food and drink would be on the menu?
  • Would you bake your own goodies, as I did recently?
  • What platform would you use to host your tea break?
  • How many people would you invite?
  • Would you host any virtual games during the event?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
