I'm currently 14 weeks in to taking methotrexate and after some advice with regards to taking naproxen, do you take this along side your methotrexate daily (continually) or just when your having a flare? Can the Methotrexate be enough for some?

Hi there sorry we are not able to give medical advice you should contact either your GP or pharmacist to explain as all people are prescribed medication in different doses and for different reasons and combinations and according to other meds you take

Hi @Beanie71! How are you getting on? As Jane said, we're not able to offer medical advice. Have you been to see your GP?

Hi @Tori_Scope
Im doing ok, just a bit concerned about taking naproxen every day.
Going to call the Rheumy Nurse on Monday to see what she recommends
Hope your well -
Calling your nurse sounds like a good idea @Beanie71. They should be able to tell you how often you should be taking it.
I'm well, thanks for asking. I'm glad that you're doing okay otherwise -
Hi @Beanie71, ring your rheumy team or your doctor, I too have rheumatoid arthritis and I never take or stop any of my medication without their advise. Naproxen can be a wonder drug but it can also mess with your liver and kidneys, your team should be able to tell from your blood tests.
They are the experts and will be able to advise you. If methotrexate alone isn't working there are plenty more options, I am currently taking methotrexate and benepali both by injection and it is working well, but it took a while to find the balance. -
@vikingqueen
Thank you will discuss with my nurse hopefully on Monday
I hope your doing ok at the moment -
Hi @Beanie71! How did the call with your nurse go yesterday?
