Dear Community Members 

Yesterday in Parliament the issue of Carers Allowance was raised by Liberal Democrat Leader ED Davey MP during Prime Ministers Questions but there was not a definitive answer from the Government and today of course has been carers awareness day. This is from the Yorkshire Evening Post om the

    The true fact is that carers save the country billions £, I can understand Ed Davey taking this up as he has a disabled child and understands (although it has to be said that the same thing didn't work with Cameron), we are unlikely to see any positive moves on the issue in the short to medium term i'm sorry to say..
    2024 The year of the general election...the time for change is coming 💡

    Hi @davegregson40 :) Thanks for sharing this. Is there any way you could summarise what the article says? It's not accessible for screenreaders, and I'm also struggling to read what it says as a sighted person.

    Hi,

    Thanks for sharing but i have no idea what it says because it's virtually impossible to read.
    I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
    If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.
